India is now considered a low risk country, therefore travel restrictions in relation to Covid-19 are relaxed. The travel requirements for international travelers arriving in India are as follows:

  1. Travelers must submit the self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal.
  2. Travelers must mention the date of vaccination or a PCR test conducted, while filling the self-declaration form.
  3. Travelers must carry a certificate of completing *full primary vaccination schedule of COVID-19 vaccination OR carry the negative report of COVID-19 RT-PCR test conducted not more than 72 hours prior to arriving in India.

Most international travelers coming to India need a valid visa.

We recommend you to take a ‘Tourist E-Visa’.

This is the easiest option. The E-visa is valid for 30 days. You can apply for this visa entirely online, avoiding the need to visit to the Indian embassy or send in your passport. When you are applying for a visa, you can state the purpose as ‘tourist’ if you plan some travel as well or as ‘short yoga course,’ which was a recent addition to the list of options.
